Hello blog! I have had a very busy last couple of days but I made sure to end the week strong! I have been continuing to eat healthy,l balanced meals with food from every food group! I have not completely cut out sugar, but I definitely continued to limit my sugar intake! I also made sure to drink a lot more water these past couple days! I have still been eating a lot of healthier alternatives of what I used to eat as well.
Conclusion:
Overall, I would definitely say that eating healthier and drinking more water had a positive effect on me! My acne almost completely cleared up which I was so surprised by! I think that since I limited my sugar intake, there was less sugar to cause inflammation on my skin! Having my skin clear up definitely boosted my confidence! I also felt a lot less guilty in a way. I normally feel guilty for eating poorly, so when I continue to do it anyway, I think poorly of myself after. By eating healthier, I felt a lot prouder of myself and my choices. I also feel that I have been less stressed out recently. I am not sure if this is due to my mindset or the healthy eating itself though. I also have felt more awake throughout the day. When I wake up in the morning, I feel a little bit more energized than normal as well. However, this new healthy-habit did take a lot of self-control. I have desserts, candy, and snacks all over my kitchen and it took a lot of willpower to not cave in and snack on them. Preparing healthy, fresh meals was also more work for both my mom and I, but I feel that it was definitely worth it! This habit had a positive impact on my mental wellness in just one weel, but I feel the results would grow to become even more beneficial if I maintained a super healthy diet all of the time!
Effect On Mental Wellness: 7/10
I would definitely recommend working to maintain a healthy diet and drinking more water to others. I rated this habit a 7/10 because personally, I believe that this is something that takes more than one week to see the full effect of! I think it is a good habit to continually practice because it will make you feel better overall, but it will not provide many quick fixes to poor mental wellness
